Jessica Sullivan

Jessica’s passion for connecting people and building relationships has driven her to pursue to a career that develops and improves organisations from the inside out. Jessica has enjoyed working with a variety of higher education institutions and she has a wide range of strategic planning and execution skills in developing fundraising and alumni engagement programs at some of Australia’s largest universities.

Focussed on establishing unique and mutually beneficial relationships between external stakeholders and institutions, Jessica has built a solid career working with two of Australia’s most successful fundraising and development teams in the higher education sector. In 2007 Jessica spent time in the United Kingdom working for the National Health Service, within the executive division of King’s College Hospital before returning to Australia. Working in the external engagement and relations divisions at Melbourne Law School and the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne, Jessica’s focus was on development and stakeholder management in the legal and health sector. She worked in a team that pioneered and lead strategic alumni and supporter engagement programs both domestically and internationally.

With significant experience working in development, alumni engagement, events management and stewardship, Jessica transitioned to the University of Sydney, working across the major gifts and alumni engagement portfolios for both Sydney Law School and the five Health faculties. Considerable stakeholder management and relationship building with major donors and supporters of the University was key to her role throughout this period as the University built momentum to meet its ‘Inspired’ fundraising campaign target of $700m two years ahead of schedule.

Jessica enjoys the challenge of engaging graduates with their alma mater in significant and impactful ways. She has developed mentoring programs, established major gifts programs and seeks to find innovative ways to facilitate making meaningful connections between alumni, their University and the broader community. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts (Marketing and Communications) from Swinburne University.
